Chiavenna is world famous for fine dining, and for its delicious traditional products such as Bresaola and Violino di Capra. In our neighbourhood we have some of the best Restaurants, renowned all over Europe.
We believe that the small retail is a key factor for the economy of a little town like ours. Luckily enough the old town of Chiavenna is still full of local shops of every kind. Gourmet, clothing, fine wines, take your time to pay a visit.
Bars and winehouses
The most famous Chiavenna’s Bar and Patisserie recently won the 4th place price at “the best bar in Italy” competition. This is setting the bar pretty high for the local community. Being a wine production area, lots of high quality wine houses are available in the whole town.
Chiavenna is set at the earth of the Alps, only 10 min. away from Lake Como, one of the most famous and exclusive areas in the world. We are 20 min. away from the ski slopes of Madesimo, and only 45 min away from the beautiful ski resort of St. Moritz, in Switzerland.
